ITINERARY:

DAY 1: ARRIVE CHENGDU (D)
On arrival, transfer to the 4 star Amara Hotel for your overnight accommodation

DAY 2: CHENGDU (B/L/D)
This morning’s City Tour will visit the famous historic thatched Tang Dynasty Du Fu Cottage and the Zhuge Liang Shrine. Afternoon free, for further exploration of this fascinating city.

DAY 3: CHENGDU - JIUZHAIGOU (B/L/D)
On today’s full day drive to Jiuzhaigou, you will experience the fascinating lifestyle of Tibetan and Qiang minority groups as you travel along the Min river. On arrival in Jiuzhaigou, check-in at the 4 star Qianhe Hotel for your three night stay.

DAY 4: JIUZHAIGOU (B/L/D)
Today you will visit Wuhua Hai (Five Flowers Lake), to see the amazing variety of colours in the lake. Later visit the spectacular Nuorilang and Pearl Shoal waterfalls, both of which are located in beautiful rainforest locations.

DAY 5: JIUZHAIGOU (B/L/D)
Today’s tour includes Shu Zheng Falls, a magnificent series of waterfalls stretching several kilometres, picturesque Penjinghai Lake and the beautiful Luweihai (Reed Marshes).

DAY 6: JIUZHAIGOU - MAOXIAN (B/L/D)
Morning visit to the Huanglong Valley – a magic landscape of limestone formations made up of thousands of pools spread along the valley floor, five waterfalls, four caves and three ancient temples. In the afternoon continue on to Maoxian. Stay overnight at the Maoxian Guibinlou Hotel.

DAY 7: MAOXIAN - DUJIANGYAN (B/L/D)
Today you will stop at the remains of the Diexi earthquake, before continuing on to visit the ancient Dujiangyan Irrigation Project (which still functions perfectly after 1700 years). Overnight accommodation at the Gold Leaf Hotel in Dujiangyan.

DAY 8: DUJIANGYAN - CHENGDU (B/L/D)
Visit to the Panda Research Centre (one of the best places in China to see the famous giant panda), before returning to Chengdu. Stay overnight at the 4 star Amara Hotel.

DAY 9: CHENGDU - ZHANGJIAJIE (B/L/D)
Day free, until you transfer to Chengdu Airport for your flight to Zhangjiajie. Stay at the Zhangjiajie International Hotel for three nights.

DAY 10: ZHANGJIAJIE (B/L/D)
This morning you will take a cable car to the summit of Huangshizhai for spectacular views over Zhangjiajie. Later visit the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Golden Whip Stream, before cruising on romantic Lake Baofeng – famous for its reflections of the surrounding mountain peaks.

DAY 11: ZHANGJIAJIE (B/L/D)
Morning visit to see the spectacular stalagmites and stalactites of the Huanglong Cave – the largest cave in Asia. After lunch, travel by coach to the Tianzishan scenic area, where you will see stunning views of the mountains and valleys.

DAY 12: ZHANGJIAJIE - SHANGHAI (B/L/D)
Day free until you transfer to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. On arrival, transfer to the 4 star Grand You You Hotel for your overnight stay. In the evening, our night tour of Shanghai includes travel up to the viewing platform of the Oriental Pearl Tower (third highest tower in the world), for spectacular views of the city by night.

DAY 13: DEPART SHANGHAI (B/L)
Today’s sightseeing tour includes visits to the historic Bund (one of the world best preserved examples of Art-Deco architecture, located adjacent to the Huangpu River ), the famous Nanjing Road Shopping District and the Yu Gardens. After lunch, transfer to Shanghai Airport for your onward journey.
